The creation of The Ladysmith Story brings together two successful artistic groups— The Flambeau Valley Arts Association and The Fourtissimo! Coalition.
Based in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, The Flambeau Valley Arts Association (FVAA) is an arts organization in its 35th year of providing opportunities for residents of Rusk County to experience a variety of professional arts performances. FVAA, a non-profit organization, has always been run exclusively by volunteers. The FVAA board, as representatives of the communities it serves, presents a series of six performances each year. The board of the Flambeau Valley Arts Association is comprised of volunteers who are dedicated to the promotion of the arts, many of whom have served the Board several times in the past 32 years. FVAA has for the past 35 years provided opportunities to enjoy performances which otherwise would have been impossible for area residents to witness. For more information on the FVAA and to see their season schedule, visit their website at http://flambeauvalley.com/fvaa.
The Fourtissimo! Coalition is a group of individual artists based in the Twin Cities area dedicated to the creation, process, and promotion of musical and theatrical works of art. Fourtissimo! was formed in the mid 1990’s as a touring quartet (thus the spelling of fourtissimo) and has presented to great acclaim several performances and educational productions. The Fourtissimo! Coalition is a not-for-profit group housed under the fiscal agent of the American Composer’s Forum.
